Data Centers

Cooling of Data Centers is getting more and more complex. Excess heat/cooling is delivered to district heating/cooling and the demand for reliable cooling is extreme. The up-time is critical for both the owners, but also for the end-user that want their servers and applications to work without any down time.

Ensure that the HVACR-system runs optimal will save both energy and money, it will also decrease the CO2 emission and run with less expensive failures/breakdowns.

Analysing the HVACR-system with ClimaCheck makes it possible to optimise it and work with predictive maintenance to avoid failures. Savings after optimisation is usually around 10-30% and the system is much more reliable.

The energy graph shown below is a top of the line installation of two chillers and two heat pumps that is supplying a data center with cooling. The heat is delivered to a local district heating network.

More information about the graph

Yellow line – Outdoor temperature
Red bars – Energy consumption per 24 hours
Blue line – Energy consumption based on energy signature before optimisation (=predicted consumption)
Red line – Energy consumption based on energy signature after optimisation
Result – Savings of 2400 kWh/day (26% less energy consumption)
